Ladies, we know first dates are pretty important because first impressions are everything. Figuring out a cute outfit and coming up with some talking points are stressful enough, but when you throw an overbearing parent into the mix, you might just face something pretty disastrous. When you're dealing with a parent who doesn't understand healthy boundaries, they might ruin something great before you even get the chance to. Luckily, there are plenty of fish in the sea—it's just not super fun when a prospective fish jumps ship before you get a chance to show them the real you.

Despite being a 19 year-old adult, her mother's behaviors haven't changed. She states that she shouldn't have told her mother about the date to begin with, but thought that her mother wouldn't stoop so low as to show up announced at the café where the first date would happen.
